The Assistant Parts Manager works closely with other departments, including service, sales, and accounting, to ensure smooth coordination and excellent customer service. And that's where you come in. Here's what you'll be doing

As the Assistant Parts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our parts department. Your responsibilities will include:

Operational Leadership

  • Assist the Parts Manager in overseeing daily operations of the parts department.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of parts advisors and inventory staff.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet customer and service department needs.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and reduce shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Provide exceptional service to retail and internal customers.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and process special orders promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive loyalty.

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager to develop strategies to increase sales and profitability.
  • Assist in implementing promotional campaigns and upselling opportunities.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Team Development

  • Train and onboard new team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.

You need these qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in automotive parts or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts, inventory systems, and dealership operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in parts management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • License: Valid G-class driver’s license is required.

It would be nice if you have

  • Additional certifications in automotive parts management.
  • Experience with wholesale parts sales and B2B customer management.
  • Experience with Hyundai parts.
