Here's what you'll be doing

You'll be the mastermind behind our people strategy, ensuring that Downtown AutoGroup isn't just a great place to buy a car, but an amazing place to build a career. You'll lead initiatives that attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry.

Your role will involve:

  • Crafting and implementing innovative HR strategies that align with our business goals and values
  • Building a robust talent pipeline and leading recruitment efforts across our dealerships
  • Developing comprehensive training and development programs that empower our team to excel
  • Fostering a diverse, inclusive, and engaging work environment that brings out the best in every team member
  • Partnering with leadership to navigate change, resolve conflicts, and drive organizational effectiveness

You need these qualifications

  • You have a proven track record of transforming HR functions in a multi-location or multi-unit business (preferably in retail) delivering measurable improvements in employee engagement and business performance
  • Your expertise in developing and executing comprehensive employee development programs has demonstrably enhanced individual and team performance
  • You have a history of building and nurturing company cultures that drive both employee satisfaction and business success
  • You're a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into effective people initiatives

It would be nice if

  • You have experience in the automotive retail industry or other customer-centric retail environments
  • You've led HR initiatives through periods of rapid growth or organizational change
  • You're passionate about cars and can speak the language of automotive enthusiasts
